Lê Tranh fell in love with Phó Thành Lẫm, her uncles friend, when she was 22. On her birthday, her uncle gifted her a share in a company of which Phó Thành Lẫm was the owner.

Lê Tranh began to use her position as a shareholder to gain an advantage over Phó Lẫm, but he eventually told her that her 0.1% shareholding was insignificant.

Later, Lê Tranh confessed her love to Phó Thành Lẫm, but he rejected her.

Six months later, Lê Tranh showed up at Phó Thành Lẫms birthday party wearing a diamond ring. She gave him a warm smile and wished him happy birthday. At the end of the party, Phó Thành Lẫm hugged her and declared that he let her win using the unspoken rules. He took off the ring from her finger and kissed her lips while two glasses of red wine spilled over them.

Their happy moment was interrupted by their friends who were playing poker, teasing Phó Thành Lẫm about losing the game and hearing rumors of Lê Tranhs engagement. Phó Thành Lẫm, angered by the comments, declared that he was going to steal a girl.
